You ask them to attack you and you ask yourself to respond. But you are the dreamer of the dream, and the cause of fear is in your mind. Stop being subservient to fear – you are welcome here.
Not being subservient to attack does what? It asks them to no longer attack me, which is grace for them and myself – the One Self.
Set it up that there’s cause for fear ‘outside’; set it up that I respond there’s cause for fear ‘outside’. I’m the dreamer of the dream. I ask you to attack me; I respond that there’s cause for fear – but it’s my dream. There’s nothing to fear because the cause of the dream is in my own mind.
The illusion something’s wrong is ‘put out there’ to respond to and fix.
When there seems to be a problem, you’re appropriating there is one so you can resolve it – but you’re a dreamer of a dream, so there is no problem.
I asked you to strike my heart with fear and imprisonment and I agreed that I would respond a certain way – with my heart struck with fear and imprisonment. But we are the dreamer of the dream and the cause of fear and imprisonment is within our mind.
If there’s no cause for fear within the mind then there’s no cause of fear ‘outside’.’ Outside’ is playing out a representation of untruth that there’s cause for fear in the mind as opposed to the cause of fear, which is solely an innocent belief that could never be, only.
Attack is meaningless. If we question if the past meant anything – anything at all… if I argue it does I’m (unknowingly) arguing for my own guilt or to keep asking to be attacked, or I’m still believing the cause of fear lies outside of the mind – as if that were possible.
Have a causeless thought of attack in the mind and think I need to defend against it, whether or not the attack I think is ‘outside’. I get upset in my response. As much as I asked to be attacked this way I also asked myself to respond this way.
When you’re asking the world, or an unauthored authority (a thought) in the mind, for something it can’t provide, you’re asking yourself for something you can’t provide.
When you experience fear, that overrides you, it is your cue not to live defensively as if there’s cause outside of you. Fear tells you there is cause – but that is the purpose of being attacked. Withdraw your consent that there is cause and attack will follow also in its withdrawal.
